COVID-19 Update From the Director

Dear Friends,

No doubt you are probably feeling anxious about the news regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is affecting many aspects of our lives. As you are staying informed and preparing in these uncertain times, I want to keep you in the loop of how Goodness Village is handling this situation. We want to ensure the highest level of safety possible for our guests, volunteers, and staff, while still helping and supporting our guests during this time.

To Our Guests:

Being away from home with a serious medical condition and the news of COVID-19 spreading is unsettling. We provide a safe and comfortable home for families traveling to Little Rock with all types of medical conditions year round.

We are staying connected with our local hospital partners regarding current updates, recommendations, and COVID-19 protocols. We have reviewed our cleaning and sanitizing procedures, which have always been at an elevated standard of care to handle the influenza virus.

To Our Volunteers:

During this time we are pressing pause for our volunteers who serve on a regular basis with Goodness Village. We still need your help in the ways listed below, but we are currently restricting activities and projects to protect our patients and families. We, as a staff, will continue to offer assistance for special requests, meals, and other needs our guests may have.

It is important to keep our focus on the protection of our guests. Our normal volunteer opportunities will resume at a later date. Stay tuned for further updates.

How You Can Help

Pray! One of the best ways to help our families, our mission, and our future is to pray for Goodness Village. Pray for the families in our apartments and for those families on our waiting list. Pray that we would continue to have the resources to serve. Pray about how you can get involved and support the mission.

As always, we are honored to serve our families in meaningful ways and appreciate your love, care, and support for our program. We appreciate everything you do, as together we offer a Home Away From Home for families in medical crisis!

Gratefully Serving,

Kim Burket, Director
Goodness Village
